Petty Honyaki

Forged in C130 steel from "Saut du Tarn".
Water selective quench.
Handle is made from exotic unknown wood and stainless steel.

Blade length is 131mm, 38mm high at heel, 4 to 0.8mm before tip, 128 grams

Small knives for delicate tasks or for the people who like to cook with small nimble knives. I am working again on Honyaki in this beginning of the year. My exercice is a selective heat in the forge so set the quenching line where I want. No clay. And water quench. So the hamon is only the result of this differential heat and the reaction of the steel cooled by water. Beautiful cristalisation on the hamon.
